Our First Year Married!🎉

It’s crazy to think that just a year ago we were unpacking and unwinding from the biggest party we’ve ever thrown 3,000 miles away in Cancun, MX. We’re forever grateful to our closest family and friends who were able to fly out to celebrate with us — it’s a day (and weekend) we’ll never forget. Here's the scoop on our first year of wedded bliss. We take no credit for how witty and fun this overview is… Brett had ChatGPT sass it up.

• Brett's Tech Triumphs and Trials 🚀
  In the world of tech, Brett got a bit of a shakeup in February when his project went poof and the team got the boot. But, like a true evangelist of tech, he dove headfirst into making the world of virtual and augmented reality (a.k.a. XR/MR) more accessible. If you haven't checked out his work, you're missing out on some serious digital wizardry! 🧙‍♂️ Have a VR headset? You can explore it virtually too!

• Alex's Fashion Forward Move 👗
  In March, Alex bid adieu to a not-so-joyful job and leaped into the stylish arms of Soft Surroundings. P.S., she gets a fabulous 50% discount, so hit her up if you’re interested in some retail therapy.

• Brett's Digital High Fives 🌐
  Brett’s portfolio snagged a Webby Award Honor and an honorable mention from Awwwards. Not to brag, but it’s kind of a big deal in the geek world. He's also got his fingers crossed for The 2024 Polys - fingers and toes, people!

• Italian Escapade and Mishaps 🍕
  Our honeymoon was a dreamy two-week Italian whirlwind. Venice stole our hearts as our last stop, but not without some drama – Brett's head cold, Alex’s stairway tumble at Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence (she’s fine, promise!), and a sore butt from biking (the things we do for gelato 🍨 and exploring Appian Way in Rome!).

• CLAW Studios: Our Business Baby 🤝
  While Brett’s been looking for a new gig, we launched CLAW Studios. Here’s to freelancing adventures in 2024!

• Alaskan Birthday Bash ❄️

  In August, we celebrated Brett’s 44th in Southeast Alaska, cruising through glaciers and charming towns like Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway. Our verdict on cruising? Still undecided. Been considering an Alaskan cruise? Email Alex for our recap/advice.

• Hometown Nostalgia Tour 🚗

  Our anniversary road trip just a few weeks ago was a blast from the past, scooping up childhood memories (and leftover stuff) from Dover, OH, to Dobbs Ferry, NY.

• Remembering Luna 🌈

  Our hearts still ache for Luna, our sweet girl who crossed the rainbow bridge the day before the Wedding last year. We miss her every single day.

• Chicago Christmas and Cozy New Year 🎄
  We're off to Chicago for some pre-Christmas sparkle, then it's all about cozy vibes at home as we usher in the New Year.
